Bay Farm Island

Bay Farm Island is the southern "island" of Alameda. In fact, it used to be an island, but is now a peninsula due to landfill connecting it to Oakland at the southeastern end. At the northern end of the island lies the Bay Farm Island bridge, connecting it to the main island of Alameda.

The island includes a business park, housing developments, two elementary schools, a small shopping center, and a ferry terminal. It is also home to the Chuck Corica Golf Complex and the Bill Osborne Model Airplane Field.

The island is also adjacent to the Oakland International Airport, which unfortunately results in noise pollution from the airport.
